LUCKNOW, Oct. 8 -- A 26-year-old man was allegedly pinned down by his father and brother before another sibling attacked him three times with a sword during a dispute over an 800-square-foot ancestral property in Unnao's Gangmuradabad on Wednesday, police said. The victim, Dilshad alias Pappu, was attacked around 9.30am in the Khatriyana locality under Bangarmau police station. According to his wife Sofia, 22, an argument broke out between Dilshad and his younger brother Ajaz, 23, over the division of the property. A senior police official said Sofia told the police that her father-in-law Murtaza, 65, grabbed Dilshad's hands from behind while his brother Irshad, 40, held his legs. Ajaz then allegedly attacked Dilshad repeatedly with a sword, leaving him critically injured. Neighbours rushed him to a hospital after hearing Sofia's screams, but doctors declared him dead. The official said Sofia also alleged that women members of the family restrained her when she tried to intervene. The couple has an 18-month-old son. Dilshad worked as a loader driver. Unnao Circle Officer Bangarmau Harsh Modi said a dispute had broken out among the family members over ancestral property and that Dilshad was attacked during the altercation. The police identified Murtaza, Ajaz, Shahzad and Irshad as among those involved in the assault and said Dilshad died of the injuries.htc...
