man hacked to death over old feud; uncle critical
JHANSI, June 7 -- A hotel owner and his associates allegedly hacked a 45-year-old man to death and critically injured his 65-year-old uncle shortly after midnight on Friday, police said.
According to officials, Esha, daughter of the deceased, said her father Gourishankar Kushwaha worked as an electrician and lived near Pal Colony. She alleged that employees and the owner of a nearby hotel frequently consumed alcohol and urinated near their house.
About a year ago, a dispute over the issue had escalated into a fight. Following a power outage on Friday night, Gourishankar and his uncle, Murarilal, went to a nearby power substation. While returning, they were allegedly ambushed by hotel owner Anand Yadav, Chirag, Rinku, Saurabh and a few unidentified persons, who attacked them with axes, police said.
SP (city) Preeti Singh said a case was filed against the accused. "Some persons have been rounded up. The main accused will be arrest soon," she added.htc...
