AGRA, Sept. 9 -- A 35-year-old woman was allegedly strangled to death by her husband following a domestic dispute in Jamuna Vihar Colony under Jamuna Par police station limits in Mathura on Tuesday. The accused, identified as Jagdev, fled the spot after the incident. DSP Vrindavan Circle Sandeep Kumar Singh said police received information about the incident around 11 am. A field unit reached the spot and carried out the necessary legal procedures. The woman's body was sent for post-mortem examination. According to police, Jagdev and his wife, Pooja Devi, had been arguing over an issue when the dispute turned violent. Police said the couple frequently quarrelled.
