LUCKNOW, May 17 -- There is a likelihood of heatwave conditions returning to the region in the upcoming week with temperatures pushing the 45degC mark with the potential to increase further, the weatherman said. In the absence of any effective weather system over the state, the weather is expected to remain predominantly dry over the next 4 to 5 days. Consequently, due to increased radiative heating, temperatures are projected to rise further by 2-4degC. This is expected to trigger another spell of heatwave conditions originating in the southern parts of the state; with a gradual increase in both spatial extent and intensity.
