LUCKNOW, July 3 -- Lucknow district has secured the top rank among Uttar Pradesh's 75 districts in the National Health Mission's Health Ranking Dashboard for May 2026, posting a composite score of 0.75. The Lucknow Division also emerged first among the state's 18 divisions with a composite score of 0.66. The district made a remarkable turnaround, climbing from 16th place in March to first in April, and retaining the top position in May 2026, marking the state's biggest improvement in rankings, stated a press release shared with the media on Thursday. Lucknow topped the state in HIV screening of pregnant women, full immunisation coverage, and the adoption of temporary and permanent family planning methods. It also recorded a 425.3% month-on-month increase in acceptance of reversible family planning methods per 1,000 eligible couples, it stated.
