LDA to roll out Varun Vihar, Naimish Nagar together, registration open for 3,105 plots
LUCKNOW, June 16 -- The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has decided simultaneously launch its two flagship townships-Varun Vihar along the Agra Expressway and Naimish Nagar on IIM Road-paving the way for the sale of 3,105 residential plots in the first phase, according to an LDA press release issued on Monday.
The initiative marks one of the largest residential launches undertaken by the authority in recent years and signals the start of infrastructure development in both greenfield township projects.
LDA vice-chairman Prathamesh Kumar on Monday finalised the launch strategy during a meeting with senior officials at Parijat Auditorium and directed them to begin construction of key master plan roads, ranging from 18 metres to 45 metres in width, in both township projects.
Officials said authority will offer residential plots ranging from 72 square metres to 450 square metres in the first phase.
The meeting was attended by LDA secretary Vivek Srivastava, additional secretary CP Tripathi, joint secretary Sushil Pratap Singh, and SDM Sangeeta Raghav, among other officials.
Spread across nearly 6,580 acres along the Agra Expressway, the Varun Vihar scheme is being developed in villages falling under Sadar and Sarojininagar tehsils. In the first phase, LDA will open registration for 1,926 residential plots, including 1,218 plots in Kailash Khand and 708 plots in Kashi Khand.
The authority has reserved over 800 acres for green belts, parks and water bodies. It has also proposed an international-standard golf course and a central park. Besides, a 300-acre logistics park will come up within the township.
The proposed Naimish Nagar township, spread over around 3,600 acres along IIM Road, will become a key growth centre for northern Lucknow. Land acquisition is underway in several villages of Bakshi Ka Talab tehsil.
The authority will launch 1,179 residential plots in the first phase, comprising 669 plots in Brahma Khand and 510 plots in Bhumi Khand.
A key aspect of the decision is the authority's focus on developing infrastructure before the launch. Prathamesh Kumar directed officials to commence work on master plan roads in both projects, signaling that the LDA aims to ensure basic connectivity is in place well before allotments are made and to avoid future delays. htc...
