LDA's addl secretary shifted to Kanpur, was on fire probe panel
LUCKNOW, June 26 -- The Uttar Pradesh government on Thursday transferred Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) additional secretary Gyanendra Verma to the Kanpur Development Authority (KDA) with immediate effect, according to an official order.
The transfer is significant because Verma was among the key officials on the committee constituted by the LDA to investigate the recent Aliganj commercial complex fire tragedy, which claimed 15 lives and injured nine others.
An order issued by special secretary Manoj Kumar directed Verma to immediately join his new posting and submit a charge-taking certificate to the government. The state government also asked the LDA vice-chairman to relieve him without delay to facilitate his joining in Kanpur.htc...
