Lucknow, June 11 -- As part of the Summer Internship Programme-2026, 128 law students from various colleges and universities visited the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Lucknow, and the Legal Aid Defence Counsel System (LADCS) office to gain practical exposure to the legal aid system. The students were briefed on the functioning of the DLSA, including free legal aid services, Lok Adalats, pre-litigation mediation, victim compensation schemes and legal awareness programmes. They also learnt about the role of the legal aid defence counsel system in providing legal representation to economically weaker accused persons.
