Latur, epicentre of NEET leak, confronts unwelcome scrutiny
PUNE/MUMBAI, May 21 -- The arrest of Shivraj Motegaonkar, 47, owner of Latur's Renukai Career Centre - a coaching network with 30,000 registered students across nine Maharashtra districts - has placed the town at the centre of the NEET UG 2026 paper leak case.
At the core of the case are two National Testing Agency (NTA)-designated subject experts who ran private coaching classes and have been named by Central Bureau of Investigation as masterminds.
Though this is the first time that Latur's coaching classes have been allegedly involved in underhand practices, questions are being raised about the town's success ratio in recent NEET exams. P8...
