Land grabbers evicted, ancestral land restored to Dhari woman
Haldwani, Aug. 7 -- Nainital district administration on Thursday restored possession of 25 nali (around 1,250 square yards) of ancestral land to a woman in Dhari after removing alleged encroachments by land grabbers, officials said.
According to Nainital district magistrate Lalit Mohan Rayal, the action was initiated following a complaint lodged by Bhagwati Devi, a resident of Dhari, who alleged that her ancestral property had been under illegal occupation for a long time.
"The complainant raised the issue during a public grievance camp. A revenue team was immediately deputed to conduct a spot inspection, and the inquiry confirmed the allegations," Rayal said.
