Kids to bring Lord Krishna's 'karma-marg' alive on stage
India, July 5 -- Theatre lovers in Lucknow will witness children and teens taking a centrestage with the play Karmanye-vadhikaraste: Murli Se Matrabhumi Tak. To be staged at Bhartendu Natya Academy, the play is being held as a part of academy's summer Bal Ranamanch workshop.
Academician Walter Peter has written, directed and designed the play for the students (7-17 age) of the month-long workshop. "We have not given any script to children. We do have a script but it has been developed, co-created and improvised during discussions with them while practicing sessions during the Rang Pathshala," says the Ahmedabad-based theatre personality who has been an ex-member of theatre-in-education committee of National School of Drama for several years.
"My theatre-in-education format is to develop their personality, language and character which not just helps in theatre but in real life as well. This play is an outcome of this entire process where they will showcase the journey of Lord Krishna and his karma-marg. I am here once again on the invitation of BNA director Bipin Kumar," he says....
