Key role for UP in BJP's new team: Dwivedi
LUCKNOW, Aug. 31 -- Newly appointed BJP national general secretary Harish Dwivedi said UP had received important representation in the party's new national team under BJP president Nitin Nabin. Dwivedi, who arrived in UP on Sunday for the first time after his appointment, was felicitated at the party's state headquarters. Addressing media persons, he said every BJP worker in the state would work with dedication to live up to the trust placed in them by the national leadership.
He expressed confidence that the party would return to power in UP in 2027. Dwivedi said forces within and outside the country were trying to weaken India through false propaganda and misinformation, but people and BJP workers understood such attempts. He credited chief minister Yogi Adityanath's government with strengthening law and order and promoting development and good governance.
On SP's caste conferences and PDA politics, Dwivedi said people had seen its record of law and order, and dynastic politics between 2012 and 2017. htc...
