Bengaluru, March 28 -- Bengaluru police on Friday registered a fresh case against Ricky Rai, son of late underworld figure Muthappa Rai, over alleged irregularities in the registration of a Lamborghini in his possession, officers said on Friday. Police had seized the car and registered a case against Rai on March 21 after a clip circulating online showed the car performing "drifting" stunts near Anil Kumble Circle on MG Road in the city. His lawyer later released a statement denying that Rai was driving the car when the clips were recorded. The Karnataka HC had on Thursday ordered the police to return the car to the accused. Investigators alleged that taxes applicable under state motor vehicle laws had not been paid.
