Junior assistant posted at sub-registrar's office held for taking Rs.1 l bribe
LUCKNOW, Aug. 12 -- The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Corruption Organisation (ACO) arrested a junior assistant posted at the sub-registrar's office in Khaga tehsil of Fatehpur district on Tuesday for allegedly accepting Rs.1 lakh bribe, officials said.
The arrested accused has been identified as Rahul Kumar Bauddh, a resident of Pure Dhani village under Kotwali Dehat police station in Pratapgarh district.
He was posted as a junior assistant at the sub-registrar's office in Khaga.
According to the ACO, a complaint was lodged by Bheem Singh, a resident of Sangrampur Sani village in Khaga, alleging that the accused had demanded money in connection with a sale deed registered on June 17, 2026....
