LUCKNOW, Aug. 27 -- Lucknow and several parts of Uttar Pradesh, experienced moderate to very heavy rainfall over the last 24 hours. The IMD forecasts heavy rain across UP until Thursday. The low pressure area is concentrated over southern UP and adjoining northeastern Madhya Pradesh. There is a possibility of a gradual increase in temperatures with the likely decrease in ongoing heavy rainfall in the state after the next 24 hours, said Atul Kumar Singh, a senior scientist at the Met office. The forecast for Lucknow on Thursday is a generally cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain/thundershowers. The maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 33 and 27 degrees Celsius, respectively.
