Lucknow, July 9 -- The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad high court has stayed the state government's suspension order of the then Kanpur chief medical officer Dr Haridutt Nemi. The state government had suspended Dr Nemi on June 19 following a high-profile bureaucratic standoff. Dr Nemi was embroiled in months of tension with Kanpur district magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh. A single-judge bench of Justice Manish Mathur stayed the suspension of Dr Nemi on July 7 and the order was uploaded on the high court website on Tuesday.Senior advocate LP Mishra appeared on behalf of Dr Nemi in court.
