PRAYAGRAJ, April 16 -- The Allahabad high court has granted bail to Harshvardhan Jain, who was allegedly operating an illegal diplomatic mission from a rented house in Ghaziabad's Kavi Nagar locality. Justice Ashutosh Srivastava allowed the bail plea of Jain, against whom a first information report (FIR) was registered alleging that he ran an embassy illegally by hoisting flags of multiple countries, using diplomatic number plates on vehicles, and allegedly defrauding individuals through the setup. In its April 2 order, the court said, "Considering all those facts and circumstances, the nature of accusations, severity of the punishment in the case of conviction and nature of supporting evidence, reasonable apprehension of tampering with the witness and prima facie case, but without commenting on merit of case, a case for bail is made out. Accordingly, the bail application is allowed." htc...
