LUCKNOW, April 26 -- A fire tore through an electronics showroom in Nigohan area on Saturday morning, gutting property worth an estimated Rs.55 lakh even no casualties were reported, officials said. "The blaze erupted around 11 am at Vindhyavasini Electronic showroom near Madapur Mandir Chauraha under Nigohan police station limits," according to an official statement issued by the fire department. Two fire tenders were rushed to the spot, and firefighters battled the blaze for nearly an hour before bringing it under control, CFO Ankush Mittal said. The showroom, owned by Om Prakash Shukla, suffered extensive damage, with electronic goods, furniture and other materials completely destroyed.
