LUCKNOW, June 28 -- The Uttar Pradesh government is establishing a comprehensive academic human resource framework to drive quality-based transformation in school education, a government spokesperson said.
As a part of it, recruitment of academic resource persons (ARPs), district coordinators (Nipun), state resource groups (SRGs), ECCE educators, and special educators is being fast-tracked in a 'mission mode.'
The selection process has reached its final stage in most districts, while appointments in several categories have already been completed. This is propelling the state rapidly towards realising the goals of the National Education Policy-2020, the Nipun Bharat Mission and early childhood education, according to a press release.
To ensure quality teaching in schools, the government has made the ARP system a cornerstone of education reform. ARPs will no longer be limited to mere inspections. Instead, they will provide academic support to teachers, help improve classroom instruction, analyse learning levels, and offer continuous academic guidance to schools. In terms of current progress, Varanasi has secured the top spot in the state by achieving 100% ARP availability.
Districts such as Deoria and Hathras (98%), Basti and Kaushambi (95%), Aligarh and Siddharthnagar (94%) and Kushinagar (93%) are among the leaders in terms of staffing availability.
