Fire breaks out at historic Delhi Gate in Mathura
Agra, April 7 -- The upper chhatri of the historic Delhi Gate in Chhata town of Mathura caught fire on Monday morning. According to police sources at Chhata police station, the fire was caused by a short circuit. Fire tenders reached the spot on time and brought the blaze under control.
Locals alerted the police after noticing the fire. Police teams rushed to the site and arranged firefighting measures. The fire was doused within a couple of hours, preventing any major damage to the structure.
