PRAYAGRAJ, Aug. 6 -- Police have registered an FIR against four named individuals and several unidentified persons in connection with the assault that allegedly occurred during a student protest on the Allahabad University campus on Tuesday. Students had staged a protest outside the Colonelganj police station on Tuesday night, demanding immediate action against those involved in the assault. Based on a formal complaint, the police registered a case against the accused on Wednesday.
