Lucknow, Dec. 22 -- Rashtra Prerna Sthal is ready with three towering statues of national leaders-Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee-which will be unveiled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 25. Developed under chief minister Yogi Adityanath's vision to inspire future generations, the site aims to promote patriotism and honour the legacy of these leaders. Each statue stands 65 feet tall and weighs 32 tonnes. Commissioned by the State Lalit Kala Akademi at a cost of Rs.21 crore, the statues are made primarily of copper, blended with lead, tin and zinc. The statue of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya was crafted by Ram Sutar Art Creations Pvt. Ltd., while those of Dr Mukherjee and Vajpayee were made by Matu Ram Arts Pvt. Ltd. The installation features facade lighting, projection mapping and water fountains to enhance its visual appeal. Spread over 65 acres at Vasant Kunj, the complex also houses a museum with five galleries showcasing the lives and philosophies of the three leaders through multimedia displays and artefacts.
