PRAYAGRAJ, Aug. 19 -- The Sarai Inayat police on Tuesday arrested a wanted goods-carrier driver accused of causing the deaths of three Kanwariyas in a road accident. He was sent to jail after being produced before a court. Police said a case had been registered against him under charges including culpable homicide not amounting to murder. The accused was identified as Ashok Kumar Pal, son of late Ramdular and a resident of Pal Nagar in Andawa. Police said he was arrested near the Andawa inner ring road. The three Kanwariyas were Ashok Kumar, 32, son of Ram Kailash; Lallu, 45, son of Bhagwati Prasad; and Shiv Prakash, 20, son of Pappu. All three were residents of Rampur Duari village under the Tharwai PS. According to police, the accident took place late on August 16 near Saraswati Dwar in Sarpateepur under Sarai Inayat police station.
