donations to support KGMU scholarships
LUCKNOW, Aug. 28 -- Donations from alumni will henceforth be utilised to offer scholarships to underprivileged students, King George's Medical University (KGMU), officials said. The decision came into effect on Wednesday after KGMU's executive council's move to form a scholarship cell, they added.
KGMU's media cell in-charge Dr KK Singh said students with their families' annual income up to Rs 8 lakh were eligible for the scholarship, which would cover their tuition fees. "The primary goal is to provide financial assistance to deserving students," he added.
This initiative aims to promote academic excellence and support students who require financial assistance to achieve their educational goals.
Approving the formation of the student council on August 22, the executive council also cleared its draft rules and regulations. It will serve as an effective communication medium between the administration and students.
