Agra, May 8 -- A wedding celebration in Etah district turned violent after a dispute over playing of a DJ led to firing, leaving the bride's cousin critically injured and forcing the marriage to be called off, police said on Thursday. The incident took place late Wednesday night at Nagla Bheem village under Marhara police station limits during a marriage function. Additional superintendent of police, Etah, Shwetabh Pandey said an argument broke out between two groups over playing of a DJ. The dispute soon escalated into a clash and members of one group, reportedly from neighbouring Kasganj district, opened fire. Aakash, bride's cousin, sustained bullet injuries in the firing and was rushed to a nearby hospital before being referred to Aligarh in critical condition. "An FIR has been registered at Marhara police station. One accused was arrested and efforts are on to trace remaining accused," Pandey said. SHO Marhara K K Lodhi said the main accused, identified as Pankaj, was arrested on Thursday. Another accused, Vishnu, named among the four persons booked in the case, had been arrested earlier. htc...
