LUCKNOW, July 21 -- A diamond ring worth around Rs.75,000 was allegedly stolen from the dickey of a scooter in the Manaknagar area here, police said on Sunday. The incident took place on the night of July 16, shortly after a couple had purchased the ring from a jewellery store, they added. As per reports, Shanu, a resident of Sector-G, LDA Colony on Kanpur Road, had gone out with his wife to buy the ring. After making the purchase, they placed the ring inside the scooter's dickey and stopped briefly at a departmental store . When they returned a few minutes later, they found the dickey open and the ring missing. CCTV footage revealed that a man and a woman allegedly stole the ring . A case has been registered....
