Participants received training in banking data analysis using Excel pivot tables, data visualisation through Power BI, and tracking digital footprints through bank account scrutiny. Legal procedures related to financial investigations and evidence collection were also covered.
The session was held at the joint commissioner of police (law and order) office in Daliganj, following directives from the Uttar Pradesh government and police headquarters to enhance crime control through capacity building.
Conducted by the commissionerate's training branch, the programme trained officers and staff from the cyber police station and cyber cells in technology-driven investigation methods.
Assistant commissioner of police (women crime/cyber crime) Soumya Pandey supervised the workshop.
Rita Singh, woman sub-inspector and in-charge of the economic analysis wing (EAW) of UP ATS, led the technical sessions with her team. The training is expected to improve the cyber cell's ability to detect, analyse and resolve complex financial fraud cases.htc...
