Cong marks Pradhan's resignation with candle march in vns
VARANASI, July 26 -- Congress workers in Varanasi celebrated Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation by taking out a candle march and paying tribute to freedom fighter Chandrashekhar Azad. They garlanded his statue at Azad Park in Lahurabeer during the programme.
The Congress workers also paid tribute to NEET aspirants who lost their lives amid the controversy surrounding the alleged examination paper leak. They observed a two-minute silence to pray for the peace of the departed souls.
Calling the resignation a victory for students, Congress city unit president Raghavendra Chaubey said it was not merely the exit of a minister but a triumph of the struggle of lakhs of students, democratic values, constitutional dignity and justice.
He said students had consistently demanded transparency and accountability in the education system....
