Addressing the Mahayuti's "Loktantra Bachao, Arajakata Hatao" (Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy) rally in Thane, Fadnavis alleged that the Congress was using the Constitution as a shield while discrediting constitutional institutions to pave the way for "China-influenced rule". Accusing the Congress of undermining democracy, Fadnavis cited the Emergency and said, "You accuse us of vote theft, but you have stolen the Constitution itself." He also defended the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls."The Congress is upset because Bangladeshi infiltrators have been removed from the electoral rolls. We will not allow a single Bangladeshi infiltrator to have voting rights...," he said. Hitting back at the chief minister, Maharashtra Congress chief Harshwardhan Sapkal accused Fadnavis of making baseless allegations and sought a "proof" of his claims of foreign funding....
