LUCKNOW, June 22 -- The office of chief minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered an inquiry into a complaint filed against Dr Abhijit Chandra, head of the department of surgical gastroenterology at King George's Medical University (KGMU), over a surgery performed on patient Rajkumar Singh. According to a statement issued by the KGMU on Sunday, the chief minister's office (CMO) has directed the divisional commissioner, Lucknow, to investigate the matter and submit a report within 15 days. The statement said the inquiry was initiated solely on the basis of the complaint received and that no conclusions have been reached so far.
