PRAYAGRAJ, July 30 -- An eight-year-old class 1 student, Ritika, was killed after a tractor ran over her while she was returning home from school in Bhangwa village on Wednesday. Police said the tractor hit her near a former village pradhan's residence, and its rear wheel ran over her. The driver fled, abandoning the vehicle. Ritika, daughter of daily-wage labourer Sandeep Kumar Gautam, was rushed to the government medical college but died.
