Lucknow, Nov. 13 -- Chief secretary SP Goyal on Tuesday held a video conference with divisional commissioners and district magistrates to review progress on the farmer registry, stubble management, PM Suryaghar Yojana and Rani Laxmibai Mahila and Bal Samman Kosh, issuing strict directives for improvement. Expressing displeasure over the slow pace of the farmer registry, he said progress was "far below expectations" and warned of strict action against negligent officers. He directed that each district must ensure weekly targets, review progress daily and inform farmers in advance about registration camps to maximise participation. On stubble-burning, Goyal asked officials to promote eco-friendly alternatives and warned of tough measures against violators.
