CHC supdt removed over harassment
Bahraich, Feb. 16 -- The superintendent of the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Motipur block of Bahraich has been removed from his post following protests by ANMs and ASHA workers, who accused him of misbehaviour, harassment, and illegal monetary demands. District magistrate Akshay Tripathi has also constituted a three-member committee to investigate the allegations.
The protest unfolded late Saturday night when ANMs and ASHA workers from Motipur block gathered at the district headquarters and staged a demonstration against the CHC superintendent Dr Thanedar. The protesting health workers alleged that he frequently misbehaved with them, created a hostile work environment, and demanded money illegally.
