LUCKNOW, Aug. 14 -- The safety of morning walkers in Lucknow has come under scrutiny following a fresh chain-snatching incident in the Jankipuram area on Thursday. The robbery marks the latest in a troubling string of similar crimes in the city. The victim, identified as Bhavna Vajpayee, was walking near the railway line when miscreants on a bike, snatched her gold chain and fled the scene. A case has been registered at the Jankipuram police station. This latest attack comes less than a week after a chartered accountant was robbed of his chain while walking near Janta Inter College in the Gudamba area.
