Chennai, June 10 -- The Centre has released Rs.1,000 crore to Tamil Nadu as disaster management funds ahead of the monsoon season, state revenue and disaster management minister KA Sengottaiyan said. "I am happy to share that the funds, which are usually given only when we request them, have now been released to us in advance as a precautionary measure," Sengottaiyan added.
