LUCKNOW, March 14 -- An eight-year-old boy died after a car hit him in Lucknow's Mohanlalganj area on Friday, confirmed Mohanlalganj SHO Brijesh Kumar Tripathi on Friday. Angry residents detained the woman driver. Tripathi said the deceased, identified as Arjun, son of a labourer and resident of a village under Mohanlalganj police station limits, was standing near the roadside when the car rammed him. The impact of the collision killed the child on the spot, police said.
Tripathi added that the police have detained the woman driver, identified as Renu Sanjeev Kumar, a resident of the Telibagh area and a teacher at a govt primary school in Rae Bareli district. The official also said the woman was accompanied by three other teachers. htc...
