GORAKHPUR, Feb. 28 -- At least three youths were killed and three others seriously injured after a speeding car skidded off the road, hit an electric pole and rammed into a house wall near BM City Road under Mehdawal police station limits in Sant Kabir Nagar district early Friday morning. Police said the accident occurred around 4 am when six friends were returning home from a wedding. The vehicle reportedly went out of control due to overspeeding, leading to the crash. Station house officer of Mehdawal Surendar Kumar Singh identified the deceased as Sandesh Pandey (23), Durgesh (25) and Sharvan (21). All were rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared them dead. The injured-Shivam, Inderjeet and another youth-were referred to BRD Medical College in Gorakhpur.
