Book details real-life stories about Sandila
Lucknow, July 27 -- During a book launch, 'Yaadon ke Saaye' written by Nihal Azmat Chaudhary, former head of political science department of Lucknow University, prof Ramesh Dixit, talked about the prominent things related to Sandila - laddu, Chausa mangoes and one of the 15 women part of the constituent assembly, Begum Ejaz Rasool.
Speaking about the book he said that it presents the sweetness of village relationships to the readers. "The kind of sweetness in relationships in towns cannot even be imagined in cities. This book can also prove to be very important in sociological studies," said Dixit.
Chaudhary said that the book is a collection of his stories from Sandila to Lucknow. "I am neither a writer nor did I wish to write a book but when I used to tell stories related to my life, people inspired me to write," said Chaudhary.
Prof Vandana Mishra said, "When you read this book, you will understand that this book is the political history since independence till now which has been presented in the form of interesting stories. Feminist voices are also heard in the book."
