India, April 7 -- Bhartendu Natya Academy is celebrating its golden jubilee, and to make the moment special, plays and musical performances are being held. The event was inaugurated by chief minister Yogi Adityanath in the presence of Rajya Sabha member Dinesh Sharma, Culture and Tourism minister Jaiveer Singh, BNA director Bipin Kumar, chairperson Rati Shankar Tripathi, and other senior theatre artistes. The main performances started with the play Refund and a kathak dance performance by Varanasi-based artiste Vishal Krishna. Mumbai's Rangshila Theatre Group's presentation, Refund, is based on a play by Hungarian playwright Fritz Karnthey and has been directed by Avinash Mishra. The play starred Shashi Bhushan Chaturvedi, Geet Sagar, Sabyasachi Misra and others. Earlier in the day, the play Anand Math was performed.
