Lucknow, Aug. 31 -- The BJP Mahila Morcha staged a protest in Lucknow on Saturday against abusive remarks made by a Congress worker about Prime Minister Narendra Modi's late mother during Rahul Gandhi's 'Voter Adhikar Yatra' in Darbhanga, Bihar.The protest was led by BJP Mahila Morcha state president Geeta Shakya and Lucknow district president Sita Negi. A large number of women and youth wing workers took part in the protest.The protesters marched towards the Congress office at Mall Avenue but were stopped by police barricades. They raised anti-Congress slogans and demanded a public apology from the party. A puppet of Rahul Gandhi was also burnt during the protest. Geeta Shakya condemned the language used in the viral video, calling it an insult to all Indian mothers and a shameful attack on women's dignity.
