BDA to begin land acquisition for industrial township along Delhi Highway
MEERUT, April 22 -- The Bareilly Development Authority (BDA) will begin the process of purchasing land from Wednesday for its proposed industrial township project along the Delhi Highway. This marks a major step toward accelerating industrial growth in the region.
The project has already received a positive response from the farming community, with nearly 600 farmers consenting to part with their land. The authority plans to acquire a total of 126.30 hectares through mutual agreement. In accordance with government policy, farmers will be compensated at four times value of their land.
The proposed industrial township will be developed across land parcels in several villages, including Bhitaura, Naugawan, Fatehganj Paschimi, Chitauli, Rahpura Jagir and Rasula Chaudhary. The land acquisition proposal received formal approval during a recent BDA board meeting, clearing the way for execution.
To meet the project's financial requirements, the board also unanimously approved a proposal to secure seed capital under the Mukhyamantri Shahri Vistaarikaran Yojana. Following this green light, the authority has completed preparations for the land registration process.
BDA secretary Vandana Srivastava said the project is expected to significantly boost industrial activity in Bareilly and nearby areas. The authority has set a target to complete the land acquisition process in a streamlined and timely manner. htc...
