BBAU plans major overhaul using Rs 480 cr HEFA funding
LUCKNOW, Oct. 7 -- With the proposal of Rs 480 crore given by the Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU) to the Higher Education Financing Agency (HEFA) now at an advanced stage, the university has planned a major transformation in its infrastructure and academic ecosystem.
The finances received from HEFA will help the university fast-track its developmental projects. Additionally, using Rs 45 crore the university is planning the expansion of the Amethi satellite campus. The overall project will incorporate two new teaching blocks and residential hostel facilities - one each for boys and girls. Another set of hostels for boys and girls will be built using the PM AJAY scheme.
BBAU vice-chancellor Prof Raj Kumar Mittal said, "The targeted infrastructural growth and collaborative frameworks are essential to bridge learning gaps and build a robust, future-ready academic environment."
Besides, to foster holistic development, the university is establishing a comprehensive sports infrastructure ground. Professional coaching coordinated through the faculty of physical education is being expanded across multiple disciplines.
"Physical fitness facilities are also being modernised with an extensive upgrade to the campus gymnasium. We are also planning to get these facilities upgraded under the supervision of renowned coaches from the state," Mittal added....
