April steps in dripping, brace for more rain
LUCKNOW, April 2 -- April began on a wet note as several districts in Uttar Pradesh experienced "unseasonal rainfall" in the early hours of Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the weather department has predicted another round of unseasonal rain accompanied by storms in the state starting April 3.
On Wednesday, district Kannauj led the table of downpour with a maximum of 29 mm, Mainpuri 20 mm, Lucknow (airport) 15.1 mm of rain that brought down both maximum and minimum temperature by a few notches.
The maximum and minimum temperature in Lucknow were 36.3 and 19.7deg C, respectively. A day before (on Tuesday), it was 37.3 and 23deg C, respectively.
The forecast for Thursday is clear sky with day and night temperature to be around 38 and 20deg C, respectively. Following the dissipation of the current Western Disturbance-which resulted in clear weather and a consequent slight rise in temperatures of up to 2degC over the next two days-the state is likely to experience a subsequent drop in temperatures of 2 to 4degC starting April 3.htc...
