Lucknow, May 15 -- Ammar Anis Nagrami, general secretary of the All India Muslim Intellectual Society, has been appointed as an executive member of the All India Muslim Majlis-e-Mushawarat (AIMMM), Uttar Pradesh. Established in Lucknow in 1964, AIMMM is a representative and united platform of the Indian Muslim community that functions as a consultative forum to promote unity, cooperation and harmony among Muslim organisations and distinguished personalities. The organisation works to raise the issues of Muslims and other marginalised communities before the government, political parties and the media, while also defending the constitutional and human rights of Muslims.
