LUCKNOW, Sept. 19 -- The annual sports festival 'Sangathan-2026' of Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow Campus, began on Friday. Competitions in cricket, football, kabaddi, tennis, volleyball, kho-kho and track events will be held during the festival. Sangathan is celebrated across Amity campuses every year to mark the birthday of founder president Ashok K Chauhan as Founder's Day. Dean Student Welfare Rajeev Verma briefed students about the tradition and significance of Sangathan. The competitions were formally inaugurated by pro vice chancellor Prof Anil Vashisht, who handed over the sports torch to athletes.
