Hyderabad, Dec. 13 -- Nine people were killed, and more than 20 injured when a private bus overturned and fell into a gorge on the ghat road in Andhra Pradesh's Alluri Sitarama Raju district early on Friday, the police said. The accident took place at around 4am, near Tulasipakalu village on Chinturu-Maredumilli ghat road, when the driver of the bus lost control over the steering while negotiating a turn, resulting in the bus plunging into a 10-feet-deep gorge. The bus, belonging to Vigneswara Travels, was carrying 35 passengers, besides two drivers and was travelling from Bhadrachalam in Telangana towards the temple town of Annavaram in Andhra Pradesh. The passengers are said to be from Chittoor district. Chintur police inspector Gopalakrishna told reporters that preliminary inquiry suggested that the driver's negligence and speeding on the steep curved stretch led to the crash....
