Rudrapur, May 19 -- The carcass of an eight-year-old tiger was found in the Kalagarh range of Corbett Tiger Reserve on Monday morning, forest officials said. Authorities later disposed of the body after conducting a postmortem as per the standard operating procedure (SOP) and sent samples for further investigation. According to forest officials, a patrolling team spotted the carcass in Dhara Beat-12 of the Kalagarh range at around 9 am and immediately informed senior officers, who rushed to the spot.
