Gorakhpur, Oct. 12 -- A 65-year-old man, Harendra Rai, on Saturday morning climbed a mobile tower to press for the resolution of a long-pending land dispute in Balua Takia village under Pat Herva police station in Kushinagar district, leaving people around stunned. Harendra Rai claimed that he had approached the chief minister's public grievance office (CM Darbar) several times, seeking justice regarding an ancestral property dispute with his brothers. While the CM's office had directed the local administration to resolve the issue, Rai alleged that instead of taking action, the Tamkuhi SDM scolded him during a hearing on Friday and dismissed his plea. His daughter, Anjali Rai, blamed SDM Akanksha Mishra for harsh behavior and stated, "My father has been running from pillar to post for months. Instead of listening to us, the SDM insulted him. With no hope left, he climbed the tower demanding justice." SDM Akanksha Mishra denied any misconduct, stating, "The disputed land has already been demarcated three times.
