The deceased were identified as Chunnu Yadav, Ashish Yadav, Rampal Yadav, Rajkumar Yadav, and Chunwad Pal, they added. Sub-divisional officer of police Rajeev Singh Bhadoriya said that the incident occurred at around 10 am. "The well was being excavated under the Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Employment and Livelihood Mission (Rural) scheme," he added. Locals aided in the rescue effort. All five bodies were recovered by 3.30pm, said police. Bhadoriya said that the bodies were sent for a post-mortem examination.
