Kota, Oct. 18 -- A 40-year-old woman died after developing complications following a caesarean-section delivery at Kota Medical College's new hospital, police said on Saturday, adding that family of the woman filed a complaint alleging medical negligence. According to hospital superintendent Dr Ashutosh Sharma, the woman, identified as Reshma, was admitted to the hospital on October 13 and started developing severe pain around her C-section scar from her previous deliveries the following morning, prompting doctors to perform an emergency C-section. She delivered a boy. "It was her fourth delivery and her three previous deliveries had also been through C-sections. Following the procedure, she developed mild bleeding, while her pressure and oxygen saturation dropped rapidly. A nephrologist and an anaesthesiologist team were brought in after she stopped producing urine," Sharma said. htc...
